About This Project
This page explains the site's scope, some background on the Clash open source ecosystem, and the principles behind our content maintenance.
Site Scope
Clash Setup Hub is a reference site for Clash usage, organized around three things: download links for clients across platforms (Clients page), step-by-step guides from installation to subscription import (Guides page), and an advanced handbook plus a concept glossary covering proxy groups, rule-based routing, DNS, and other topics. The site itself does not provide any proxy nodes or subscription services — it only curates tool downloads and configuration knowledge.
Open Source Ecosystem Background
Clash started out as an open source, rule-based proxy core; the original repository was archived in 2023 and is no longer updated. The community carried development forward through the Clash Meta project, which was later renamed mihomo — it remains compatible with the original configuration file format while extending protocol support, rule types, and DNS capabilities. It's now the core used by the mainstream graphical clients (Clash Plus, Clash Verge Rev, FlClash, and others). Unless noted otherwise, "Clash" on this site refers to this current ecosystem built on the mihomo core.
Content Maintenance Principles
- Download links point only to each client's official release channel or app store listing. Version information is updated as new releases ship; we never modify or repackage any installer.
- Every step in our guides and advanced handbook has been verified on the current version of the relevant client for that platform, and is revised whenever the interface or settings change.
- When a client stops being maintained or a core's behavior changes, we note it on the relevant page along with migration suggestions, rather than leaving outdated conclusions in place.
If you run into trouble, start with the step-by-step instructions on the Guides page and the troubleshooting section of the advanced handbook — most common issues are already covered there.
